I don't know how a horse responds to an electrical shock but having to go thru taser training and being hit with a shot you go down and not jumping for joy or in condition to do anything else.

Here we are, worrying about a spurious accusation by a two-bit trainer from Florida. He's been training for almost 25 years and his career earnings are less than half of Pletcher's in less than 8 months this year.

maybe just a coincidence but who knows? Lukas puts Alvarado up and gets the best race of the horse's career in the Jim Dandy. Then for the Travers he pulls Alvarado to put up Saez. You get the best race out of a horse and then you make a rider switch to a guy that hasn't done anything for your barn? this is Lukas/Saez they are just about all maiden races except for a stake where they finsihed last and a NW2 . 23Aug 01SAR 5.5D 2yr MSW Robert 2c 48.5 7 2TS Lukas /Saez L 21Aug 08SAR 5.5T 2yF MSW Irelan 2f 18.1 6 2TS Lukas /Saez L 21Aug 07SAR 7.0D 3up M40 Indian 3c 11.8 5 Lukas /Saez L 07Aug 01SAR 5.5T 2yr MSW All Ca 2c 18.0 3RD FTS Lukas /Saez L 27Jul 08SAR 8.5T 3up NW2 Channe 3c 37.5 8 Lukas /Saez L 24Jul 10SAR x5.5D 3up M35 Indian 3c 9.5 4 Lukas /Saez L 12 22Jul 05SARi 8.5T 2yF MSW Paulow 2f 33.8 8 FTS Lukas /Saez L 22Jul 01SAR 5.5D 2yr MSW Strong 2c 11.2 5 FTS Lukas /Saez L 21Jul 01SAR 5.5D 2yr MSW Americ 2c 14.3 6 FTS Lukas /Saez L 19Jul 08SAR 7.0D 3up GR3 Laurie 4c 15.4 X Lukas /Saez L 19Jul 03SAR 5.5D 2yF MSW Irelan 2f 11.6 5 FTS Lukas /Saez L

Was Alvarado available for the race?. If not who else of any standing was. Since he used the kid before it would be a logical move. Remember a lot of top riders don't like riding FTS so since the kid did maybe he thought he give him a shot. Since I didn't follow the Spa how was Saez doing?.

Alvarado rode the race right before and right after the Travers according to my charts. I think Alvarado is in the top 5 and Saez is winning at about 6 or 7% at Saratoga.
Trainers switch riders often ( sometimes for a guy who is riding hot for the barn) but you put a guy up who is near the top of the standings and get the best race ever out of the horse and then you pull him off for the Travers...ok
He didn't pull him off to switch to Gary Stevens. A lot of concidences in this game so who knows...

With Coach I don't think a jockey change means anything. WTC has had several jocks. The Dandy was the first time Alvarado rode him. Maybe Coach didn't like the ride or maybe Alvarado didn't follow instructions.
I just don't think Coach would be dumb enough to do this in a high profile race. If it were anyone but Guillot............voodoo dolls? Really!

If I'm NOT mistaken Eric is from New Orleans NOT Florida.
Also if ANY trainer had the stock that TAP gets they'd have MORE earnings and the Horses would have longer racing careers

That's true Chall but is he stupid? I think it's wrong to make accusations without some sort of proof. Saez is young. IF he's guilty his career is done. He's pretty good and will get better. We hope.
Also, WTC belonged in that race. It's not l;ike some completely out of his league horse jumped up and won.

Guillot is from the Lafayette area not new orleans.

I don't think anyone is saying the horse didn't belong. I found the hand ride to the wire kind of curious after the agressive stick use past the 1/4 pole. The rider switch was kind of curious to me. I don't expect anything to come of this.

Saez isn't exactly a slouch. He has been winning at 13% for the year and 19% for his career. He has won multiple stakes races. And although only winning at 7% for the meet he still makes the top 10. So maybe the change wasn't so crazy after all.

I'm not questioning Saez's ability. I'm questioning trainer intent. It's a curious move at a curious time. Many curious things in this game.

Stats st Spa for Guillot:
26 Eric J. Guillot 24 1 2 3 $378,369 4% 6 25%
Maybe he can start an Ebay doll business. LOL Don't like him as a trainer.
For the sake of the game hope this didn't happen.

guillot is an idiot and not a good trainer, but what does that have to do with this accusation, or especially pletchers numbers compared to his?
lukas is not above doing anything. remember that people. "less then pristine" is an understatement!
saez definitely changed his riding from one point to the other. I never saw any device, but I did see him stop whipping at a key point in the race.
what better spot to use a buzzer then in a million dollar race? with technology being what it is today, and every race being recorded and replayed thousands of times by tape watchers all across the country, there is just as good a chance he would get caught in a 25,000 maiden claimer as he would in the travers. if your gonna do it, at least make it worth your while.

Actually Guillot was born in Louisiana, he lives in Hermosa Beach California. www.horseracingnation.com/person/Eric_J_GuillotMy point was that he's a two-bit trainer racing in the minor leagues, and he has the chutzpah to pull this crap? When they conclude that nothing amiss was going on, HE should be suspended for making false allegations.

racing in the minor leagues? really? get a F*ing clue George. so because he doesn't have a 300 horse stable hes not allowed to make a claim? obviously its not unfounded if most of us are looking at it and having second thoughts also. it may not be proven, but there is a possiblility and it should be looked into.
