That was fast. Only four wins in 25 starts with his two new trainers.
In so many ways he's already being bitten by parting with Baffert.

of course he is. his head got to big like so many other owners in sports who think they know more then the people they hire to run their business. there is a reason why baffert is the trainer and not shah. just like al davis the last 30 years before he died, jerry jones, buss jr. and many others. none of them ever made a dollar coaching or training and neither has shah. baffert told him Dortmund was no longer a grade 1 horse after the breeders cup and shah didn't want to listen so baffert basically quit. now you can think what you want but that is essentially what happened. baffert said he had no business running in the Pegasus and had no chance to get close to arrogate and shah got butt hurt. now he is starting to understand. im not going to say oneil couldn't have don well with shah because he could have, butt oneil has never been close to what baffert is as a trainer or horsemen. oneil is nothing more then an ex gambler who happened to have a trainers license as well. he was surviving at the track for many years with that license before he ever had a horse. im not trying to say he is a bad trainer. he just is no baffert.

the owner pays the bills - he does not hire a trainer to run the business - trainers train - if shah was so horrible demanding to be in races and so forth, bob could have said no - but.............. again - the horses are the owners and the owners pay to have the right to give their preferences and ignore the trainers "recommendations" - outside of racing there are plenty of businesses run by micro managing and often strategically wrong owners - but it's their company and they pay the bills!
was there anything in print where baffert told shah Dortmund was no longer a G1 horse and quit or is that simply conjecture? dort did run in the G1 BC Dirt Mile and Baffert is listed as the trainer - he ran for Sherman in 2017 (didn't run well in the BNC or for Art)
neither of these "docs" is a "horseman" - yes baffert should be and at one time was, but now, $ seems to be all that matters to him - sure he wins because he has some great horses that wiz could have "trained" just as well!

"Prejudice is a great time saver. You can form opinions without having to get the facts."
yeah he pays the bills and has that right. and that is also why he isn't winning races now. because he thinks he knows what is best over the trainer. he needs to stfu, buy the horses, and let the trainer make all the other decisions. and yes, running the business consists of making decisions on where to run. owners are basically idiots when it comes to these decisions. not going to comment on the rest of what you say other then to use your own quote.
