tonight churchill downs reopens, 11 fantastic races on tap. syndergaard is the horse I'm most anxious to see race, I though he had a big shot at the derby. trained of course by mr todd pletcher.
there are 102 horses entered for a 9.2 per race average. a very good friend has two running. I look forward arriving in Louisville tuesday afternoon.
some rain in the forecast, will update track conditions later

Syndergaard ran like a mule. Had a nice crowd out there last night(I was working there) Track seemed to be playing fair but as we know no matter how it plays this week Oaks and Derby day it is going to be I-65, drag strip up for race day. Right now the forecast is for cool conditions for Oaks with highs in the mid 60's and partly sunny and for Derby mostly sunny and mid 70's.

syndegard fell into the same category that so many other 3 year olds do. totally overbet and overhyped when coming back off of 3-6 month layoffs and making their first start as 3 year olds. these colts change overnight at this time of year and rarely do the ones that were good at 2 get much better at 3 while so many other have matured greatly in that same 6 months.
