The foaling has begun! The first foal by Breeders' Cup Classic winner, Mucho Macho Man, arrived on Jan. 24 at Sequel Stallions in New York. “This foal is what we are all hoping for from a first-season sire in the commercial market – she is correct, has got leg, a lot of chrome and is very attractive”, said Sequel Stallions manager, Wally Burleson. Bred by Mary Ellen Coenen, the chestnut filly is out of a young Stormy Atlantic mare, Ms. Hallie, who is out of a half-sister to the Grade 1-winning millionaire, In Summation. A multiple graded stakes-placed juvenile, Mucho Macho Man was a graded stakes winner at 3, 4 and 5 en route to earning over $5.6 million. He was a close runner-up to Fort Larned in the 2012 Breeders' Cup Classic before his thrilling victory in the 2013 renewal, in a driving finish over champions Will Take Charge and Declaration Of War Mucho Macho Man stands at Adena Springs near Paris, Ky., for $15,000 live foal
