upstart is a pitchfork. he was lame before the derby and i knew it and still got sucked into using him on my spreads. he is the only horse i liked even a little bit that didnt run well. everything else i had pegged pretty much. but i have had enough of him at this point. i have also never liked texas red and think frosted will turn the tables on him saturday. keen ice has run better in his last couple then i expected but is nowhere near pharoah or frosted for that matter. franmento and verve are plodding donkeys, and i dont really know to much about smart transition or king of new york. it looks like the belmont all over again to me. its a shame because i think frosted is a really nice horse, but he is going to be stuck in flying paster or even alydar mode until pharoah calls it a day.

What a terrible race full of underperformers. Reminds me of the Haskell last year where Bayern looked good beating a bunch of allowance horses. This is a Traversty. lol. No wonder why AP is a triple crown winner. He has no competition. Wait till he runs with the older horses then his azz is going to have to work hard for a win for a change.

what older horses? the best older horses are all out already due to injuries or bad form. there is one legitimate older horse and he is being way over rated by people who love and over estimate closers. you call these horses underperformers? why? when you have a year like this with a tc winner, every other 3 yr. old is going to look like an underperformer compared to him. there is nothing wrong with this crop or last years. they are much better the the previous 2 or 3 years. you want underperformers? look at the year orb won. now that was a bad crop.

Agree Wiz I think this is a pretty solid group of horses and like other years they are better than some and worse than others but a solid group none the less.
