Chilean BC Challenge Race Postponed Bloodhorse
The Copa de Oro (Chi-II), a Breeders' Cup Challenge race scheduled to run June 26 at Chile's Club Hipico de Santiago, was postponed, along with 19 other races on the card, amid reports of a possible dispute between jockeys and track management.
The 1,800-meter (about 1 1/8-mile) race was a "Win & You're In" event offering the winner a fees-paid, automatic berth to the $1 million Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (gr. I) Oct. 30 at Keeneland.
As of June 27, a rescheduled date for the race had yet to be set, Breeders' Cup said.
