The "new" NYRA Customer Experience was written by Dean Keppler. I have only used direct quotes from his story. If you'd like to read the entire article look at the Paulick Report. This story was about his annual New Years Day trip to Aqueduct.
" although I wasn't surprised, most of Champs looked almost identical as last year's gathering. Most of the TV monitors had survived another year but had yet to get a transformation to flat-screen status. There were fewer tables to sit at, and the chairs that did exist looked like they had lost the battle with my neighbors Siberian Husky over the stuffing in the cushion."
"if you weren't lucky enought to arrive 40 minutes to post time, you had to wrestle with the locals for the few staggering plastic brown chairs that looked like they had been bought at auction after one of the local elementary schools shut down in the wake of Hurricane Sandy."
"There was no waitress service and no food."
" after a few races had passed my gang of 4 had decided to treat ourselves to a New Year celebratory cocktail. It was then we discovered the birth of the NYRA $9 Heineken.A round of drinks that consisted of 2 Heinekens, 1 Coors light and a rum and coke came back a whopping $37 dollars. And it took about 11 minutes to get these drinks as the bartender scolded someone on her cellphone while waiting on me"
As I stated earlier today I went to Aqueduct on Saturday, December 28th 2013 and I was kinder on my review than this journalist. The track is a total DUMP... Hopefully by year's end it will be closed.

George:
Once again you're quick to reply to one of my topics. VERY SCARY....
If your comprehension was any good you'd realize in my second sentence I stated I used only quotes from the Article. After all it is my topic, NOT yours.
Pres, who only drank Dr Pepper and water today....

But you conveniently selected a few sentences from the blog post that would support your negative view of New York racing in general and Aqueduct in particular. Why didn't you, like everyone else on these forums, post the entire blog post in its entirety? It's quite simple - either copy the content and paste it here or at the least provide the link to the blog post (as I did, which took maybe a New York minute) As it turns out, the writer, who apparently visits Aqueduct every year on New Year's Day, pointed out that most of what he observed at Aqueduct is also the case for other tracks in other areas - it's a problem for race tracks all over the country these days. But to include that would have diluted your anti-NY racing agenda. You posted this in a public forum on this site - everyone reads it and has a right to comment. This has been mentioned to you several times not only by me but by others here - this is not your site, you don't make the rules or decide who responds or when they respond. As for it being SCARY? That's your own problem.

Guys...............damn - stop!
Read the article earlier. Not to worry - There will be new seating - toddler beanbags in Toys R Us! The promises were made to renovate the Big A. They were not kept. That's the way it is. I'll bet but probably won't be going there live. Am sure there are many who feel the same way.

George:
Your bully-pulpit speeches make me laugh. Yesterday I think you posted 3-4 stories, I read none and commented on none. Maybe you should do the same with me.
