Wow, that's only about 15 weeks (if they're running 5 days a week)
But, all things considered it's probably smart keeping the meeting down to a limited number of days. Monmouth used to be a Memorial Day to Labor Day meeting anyway.
Sad to think that as little as 20 years ago (I know, "little"? You're not as old!!!) there were viable meetings at Garden State in the spring, Monmouth (day) and Atlantic City (night) in the summer, followed by the Meadowlands in the fall.
How the game has changed.

They simply just can't compete. PA and NY have the money.
