Notice that they all were longshots from 5-1 to 30-1. They would have done better on fast track I think as they had some of the signs that I look for in the PP's that give a signal that a horse is about to run a big race. After all because of the off track a DONKEY came in 2nd in the Derby - hehehe hawwwwwwwwwwww! lol.

And Chief of Staff looked very good for a 30-1 shot in my way of handicapping and what I have learned over the years. Which is as follows:
In last race ran against one of the best sprint horses and overall class horses - Whitmore, who I think is better than the horses he was running against yesterday such as Denman's Call and maybe even Masochistic, Limousine Liberal and Awesome Slew, and Whitmore is surely better than every other horse in yesterdays race.
That last race against Whitmore was run in 43/4, 1:08/1 which is an unbelievably fast race at Oaklawn so that backs up the point that Whitmore is a class horse and that was a very tough race just as tough a race that any of the other horses in the race yesterday came out of. In fact I would not be surprised if Whitmore wins the BC sprint this year if they keep him running sprints but they might go back to distance races with him.
The pattern of Chief of Staff's run in that race was he started 6th by 4 lengths off and finished 5th by 4 lengths off which is a very tight close to the pace race in very fast fractional and end time race. One of the best signs in the past performances for when a horse is stretching out from a shorter to longer distance is if over the past few races he ran a very tight even race no more than 2,3,4,5 or 6 lengths off the pace but the same distance off the pace all the way around, against tough competition in very fast fractional race. Trust me that is a prime sign that most of the time leads to a winner at a long price.
So he did not do it yesterday but I will bet you that within his next start or not too soon after that, he will win a big race at a very big price likely on a fast track at a distance of 7F or 1 mile, maybe 1 1/16 and he will be 20-1 or better. Trust me - that is why I am cappernick! And you can thank me later when you cash in big. lol.

this is what I mean. 5 paragraphs trying to explain AFTER the race is over why you thought a horse that had zero chance had a good chance. no one cares how you pick your horses or why. its bad enough you post your selections when they are consistently bad, but to then waste everyones time with a drawn out explanation as to why? then after they lose the excuses start. off track? really? it was common knowledge for a week that it would be raining derby weekend. if you didn't factor in an off track, then that just bad preparation and bad handicapping. regardless, if you picked 5-1 or 30-1 shots, they lost...........as usual.
