not one horse in there other then Stanford deserved to be running for a purse that big. sorry but if your putting up 1.25 million every year for a race and still cant draw a better field then that then something is wrong. like I have said before, one of the biggest problems with racing is everyone want to be the big dog. if you are a small time track running mostly 5k claimers, you have no right running a race for that kind of purse. improve your overall purse structure and daily level of competition first. then you can try to play with the big boy tracks.

I've been there a few times and while it's small, it's beautiful. They haven't run 5K races for years btw And Stanford wound up way back so not sure he "belonged"!

what i mean by belonged is his overall record and the competition he has faced. imperative obviously likes the track, but what does he do away from there? he has run one big race in his life away from Charlestown and is what, 7 years old? plus the race was in the slop I see and Stanford apparently got into a speed duel so I can give him a pass. I know who the most talented horse in that race is on a fast track 90% of the time is and sure as shit isn't imperative, but anything can happen any day of the week and it did. my point is its a 1.25 million dollar race and its still not even a G1? its a subpar field in a subpar race at a small time track. also, I don't know what the track looks like has anything to do with what I said. btw, do you have any idea what you are talking about? I pulled up the first charts I could find and 4 out of the first 5 races run on the card were for 5k claimers and 6 of the 8 were for under 10k. then the next day 6 of the 8 were for 5k claimers and the other 2 were for 12,500 or less. nothing but cheap garbage as I said. it definitely hasn't been "years" since they ran those type races. www1.drf.com/drfPDFChartRacesIndexAction.do?TRK=CT&CTY=USA&DATE=20170419&RN=99www1.drf.com/drfPDFChartRacesIndexAction.do?TRK=CT&CTY=USA&DATE=20170420&RN=99

I was thinking purse $ - which is pretty high for a small track. But they have the casino.

I support every track, even the state fairs in Cali, I will play them all if I have a bris form and some sort of way of visually handicapping (and time). I love em all lol you either make good wagers or you don't.

yeah the purses are but the horse stock is crap. its one level above the los al tb's that run at night.
true teen, and I'm not saying there is anything wrong with betting those tracks. I'm just saying that 1.25 million could be put to a lot better use.
