change of pace! great event '60 Minutes' episode to highlight Maryland Hunt Cup Sunday Emmy-winning journalist Charlie Rose will report on the long-held tradition of timber racing and will highlight the annual Maryland Hunt Cup this Sunday on “60 Minutes,” according to the CBS website. The annual race, in its 121st year held on April 29, features a 4-mile, 22-fence racecourse, which requires horses and their riders to jump over. The tradition first began in 1894 and found its permanent location in Worthington Valley in 1922, according to the Maryland Hunt Cup website: marylandhuntcup.com/Louis “Paddy” Neilson III, a legendary rider who has won the race three times, will be featured in the episode, which will air on CBS at 7 p.m.

I like watching steeplechase races but don't bet them. but considering that most of their thoroughbreds run about as fast as most jumpers do, I guess its a good fit for Maryland racing.

Oh for heavens sakes Wiz!! We went many years ago and I remember drinking way too much and having a great time! Everyone was partying and very friendly. Thank god we had preferential parking because it was mobbed! I like the jumps.
