Frac Daddy Retired With Suspensory Strain Bloodhorse
Multiple graded stakes winner Frac Daddy has been retired from racing, according to a July 28 announcement from trainer Ken McPeek.
The 5-year-old son of Scat Daddy suffered a mild strain of a suspensory branch, McPeek said in a release. Stallion plans have not yet been determined.
Racing for Magic City Thoroughbred Partners while trained by McPeek throughout his career, Frac Daddy ran to a record of five wins and seven seconds in 20 starts for earnings of $701,236.
As a 4-year-old, he won both the Ben Ali (gr. III) at Keeneland and the Eclipse Stakes (Can-II) at Woodbine by widening margins.
During his 3-year-old season, Frac Daddy was second in the Arkansas Derby (gr. I) and Commonwealth Turf Stakes (gr. IIIT). As a 2-year-old, he was second in the Kentucky Jockey Club (gr. II). Frac Daddy won or placed in graded stakes on dirt, turf and synthetic surfaces. His last start resulted in an eighth-place finish in the June 27 Firecracker Stakes (gr. IIT) at Churchill Downs.
Bred by the Nancy M. Leonard Living Trust out of the Skip Away mare Skipper's Mate, he was a $50,000 purchase by McPeek for Magic City from the 2011 Keeneland September yearling sale when consigned by Eaton Sales.

I received an overnight invitation envelope from Wiz. He wants to celebrate the career of the horse. After glancing down at the time and place, it is taking place from 1-1:15 pm in the short term parking lot at Ontario Airport. Please bring your own drinks

its a shame. i heard he was prepping for the pacific classic, but when he didnt get an invite, he tried to hang himself in his stall again like last year because he was so distraught.

Lol. McPeek is freaking horrible. Sorry Frac lovers, that guy gets a bunch of squirrels who pump money into his operation and never get a return.

Sorry CC - know you love the Skippy line. I don't think a suspensory injury during a race can be blamed on the trainer. Wiz - He at least didn't get his "big win" via a bad DQ nor fail as a 4yr old. While you bitch about CC, she not said a word about one of your faves being a flop this year. Sooooooo - look in the mirror next time you bitch and moan about her!Why do I think if RG was a fan of Frac D, you'd have totally different comments? Oh yes - correct- because it's true!!

did i post this thread? no. obviously the person who did was baiting, looking for smart assed replies based on her "have at it boys" comment. did i make the first wisecrack? no. but yet i say one funny response and you get your panties in a wad over it. have i said a word about bayern this year myself? no i havent because he isnt the same horse and i go off of facts and performances. not what he looks like or what his name is. fact is last year he was the best horse in the country and proved it when he won the classic. fact is he had more trouble in the races he lost then he caused in the one race everyone bitches about, but no one mentions that. evry race he lost other then the travers he had a legitimate excuse, usually being troubled by other horses, and the travers was at saratoga where plenty of horses run basd for no reason. but this year? he hasnt matched that form and therefore i havent said a word about him being anything special. but i can say this. at least he was special at one time. and you are completely right about RG.

Oh Man - Look - I'm as guilty as anyone busting CC's chops about Frac D. Wiz - I think her comment was based on all the past negative comments - and even you have to admit she handled them pretty well. You're assumption that her post was "bait" is an assumption In Your Opinion. An assumption with which I disagree. She mentioned no specifics so am guessing I was one of the "boys". "Bait" for you would have been slamming Bayern - not done. In fact, much of what I think is your posted "bait" has been ignored. It used to be funny. It's not anymore. Let's leave evaluations and judgements of people out of this and stick to horses (that personal crap will be deleted). I know that's what ticked off Ev - not your reply which you say was "funny". So why isn't that "bait" or why wasn't CC's wisecrack "funny"? Too much reading into posts IMO Am not takin' sides - just my own "stewards corner" (see NY thread LOL)
As to Frac D, hate to lose another "older horse". He did make a lot of $ so will admit that. As to Bayern - he got a nice CA BCC "gift". I'm not arguing that as I know that is My Opinion.
As to "bias"- everyone is biased but only some can admit it.
