So no tickets race sold race day? Brilliant! It's no wonder people don't want to go - us included and I'd love to see a TC winner in person. So much for the misconceived "fan enhancement"!
8,000 Tickets Remain to be Sold for Belmont By The Associated Press
Approximately 8,000 general admission tickets remain for American Pharoah's Triple Crown quest June 6 in the Belmont Stakes presented by DraftKings (gr. I).
The New York Racing Association implemented several new policies at Belmont Park this year. The crowd will be capped at 90,000, well below the record of 120,139 for Smarty Jones 's failed Triple Crown bid in 2004.
"Interest has skyrocketed in the event since American Pharoah's arrival here this week," NYRA director of communications and public affairs John Durso said. "We anticipate a sellout."
All box and reserved seats are gone and the restaurants are fully booked.
In another departure from tradition, no tickets will be sold at the track on race day.
"If you do not already have a ticket, please do not come to Belmont Park on Saturday," Durso said.

"if you are a casual racing fan and would like to attend the races and spread interest to other new fans, please do not come to the races saturday. we do not want yout business or that of anyone else who is actually interested in the sport. we only want band wagon jumpers and rich socialites who will only attend once a year to wear their stupid hats, hob nob with in crowd, and dress up like transvestites."

they'll prolly sell them but after last year............am sure they'll announce the 90K - it would be great IF tomorrow fans, because of the cap (although 102K last year-12,000 not that much diff)did have an "enhanced experience - but seriously mr kay - "enhanced" really means a fatter wallet when you leave than when you arrived! amazing strategy to cap tho' considering old hilltop is less than 1/2 the size and managed to deal with 132K - the back at Belmont is bigger than pim's infield too - this nyra does weird nonsense - they do suck! all babble and no knowledge, little follow thru - sort of like the jerks stronach put in the MJC - it's the new racetrack management trend lol
