Carpe Diem To Skip Preakness, Aim For Belmont

While trainer Todd Pletcher is expected to announce Tuesday which 3-year-olds in his stable — if any — will be included in Saturday’s Preakness field, news came out Monday that Carpe Diem will not be among them.
Elliott Walden, CEO of co-owner WinStar Farm, told the Daily Racing Form’s Jay Privman that Carpe Diem would sit out the second leg of the Triple Crown and prep for the Belmont June 6.
Carpe Diem, winner of the Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland, finished 10th in the Kentucky Derby. The Preakness could include five of the top six Derby finishers, with American Pharoah, Firing Line, and Dortmund all expected to run, as well as fifth-place Danzig Moon. According to several reports, Pletcher is down to deciding whether to enter sixth-place finisher Materiality, but Competitive Edge and Stanford have also been mentioned as possibles for the Preakness from the Pletcher barn.

had no chance. he is severely over rated, more then any other 3 yr old this year i believe. pletcher does have a couple others though who are not without a chance.

Carpe Diem or Materiality will win the Belmont. Materiality may win the Preakness. AP, Dortmund and Firing Line are not any thing special. They will all get beat either in the Preakness or the Belmont.

materiality isnt running in the preakness. pletcher and most of the other trainers have basically already admitted they cant compete with the top three and especially pharoah by skipping the preakness. they are going to take their shot at him in the belmont and hope circumstances will enable them to overcome the vast differential in talent between themselves and pharoah. either being a fresh horse while pharoah isnt or hoping the mile and a half distance is too much for pharoah is the only hope they have in defeating him.
just for the sake of asking, how is it that you have decided the top 3 arent anything special? because his final quarter doesnt measure up to secretariats? i have a newsflash for you. no other horse EVER measures up to secretariat, not just those 3.

As for Materiality not running - I don't have the same time you bums have to pay attention to the news all day. I have to work my butt off during the week just to survive so keeping up-to-date with the news on a daily basis with things that don't really matter at the end of the day is not my priority, lol.

see now my question is this. when this post gets flagged, moved, deleted, or whatever will be done to it, will you complain like you have in the past and like pres has done constantly as well, that you are being singled out or treated unfairly? what do you expect to happen when you make a post like this or the one you made the other night? do you really expect for it not to be taken down? whether or not i or anyone else agrees with you, disagrees with you, or just plain doesnt care, you have to be a complete and total id iot not to expect some sort of action to be taken. as i have said, i make posts that get taken down as well. but the difference is i dont whine about it after it happens because i have enough common sense to know when i have crossed the line. but once again i see by your post that you have reverted back to your old ret ard ed ways, just verifying to everyone here what an imbecile you are.
