Do you think it's true that harness racing is for old people? I'm over 50 but can't say I'm a true harness fan. Maybe that's the problem with thoros also? THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH HARNESS RACING'S "OLD" DEMOGRAPHIC Harness Racing Update Mar 13, 2015 Are you sick of everyone's obsession with marketing to youth? Well, so is Dean Towers, who writes in HRU that harness racing is a perfect game to sell to the over 50 crowd? full article: harnessracingupdate.com/

I like going to the Meadowlands! But, of course, I'm part of the "Demographic"!

the only people i know who like harness racing are the people involved in it as owners or drivers, or those who are friends with those who are. its the easiest of all the breeds to fix,and everyone is either related somehow or lifelong friends. plus it is also the easiest breed to drug your horse in to get it to maximize its chances of winning. when you "milkshake" a horse you arent making him run any faster then he can otherwise, so it really accomplishes nothing in qh racing. what it does is it lets a horse run its maximum speed for a longer time which is what is needed in harness racing. it extends a horses endurance. it is basically like meth for a horse. but it also ruins a horses insides. not to mention how easy it is to make a horse go offstride during a race and say it was an accident, or maybe set the hopples at the wrong length. just to many ways to cheat in harness racing, and everyone knows it. i will never trust them as far as gambling goes. now if you are looking to invest as an owner, then thats a different story.
