Doesn't 30 days seem like a lot?
Lemaire gets one month ban for using Twitter By Scott Burton 10:41AM 1 MAR 2015 The Racing Post
CHRISTOPHE LEMAIRE has made the worst possible start to his new career as a fully-licensed jockey in Japan, after stewards at Hanshin banned the French star for 30 days for using Twitter at the track.
Under JRA rules there is no right of appeal against the suspension, which rules Lemaire out of the ride aboard last year's Japanese Derby winner One And Only in the Dubai Sheema Classic on March 28.
The 35-year-old was due to take his first rides since suffering a broken leg at Kyoto last November but was subsequently replaced on his six intended mounts.
Confirming the suspension, the JRA's Paris representative Fumitaka Tsuruoka told the Racing Post: “He has been suspended for 30 days, from today [March 1] until March 30 because he used Twitter.
"It is prohibited for riders to contact people outside during their quarantine at a JRA facility. The decision was taken by the Hanshin racecourse stewards and there is no appeal.”
