from NYRA
In anticipation of Friday's anticipated extreme winter conditions including severe wind chills, and out of an abundance of caution for our equine athletes and their jockeys, the New York Racing Association will be cancelling live racing at Aqueduct Racetrack on Friday, February 20.
Training at Aqueduct and Belmont will also be cancelled on Friday due to the severe conditions.
Aqueduct and the Belmont Cafe will remain open for simulcasting. Telebet and Internet wagering will continue to be available through NYRA Rewards.
Live racing at Aqueduct is scheduled to resume on Saturday, February 21.
Laurel site has a banner saying races tomorrow cancelled.
It is DAMNED cold!

turns out we got over 10" of snow out here - with freezig rain on top - laurel got around 7" or so - had to cancel - let the mud begin! dogs have more laundry than me! sweaters, coats and a ton of muddy towels - pups, not me!
