Love this! She deserves all the accolades! Fair Grounds to Host 'Rosie Day' Feb. 21 Bloodhorse "Rosie Day" will coincide, fittingly, with Louisiana Derby Preview Day presented by Lamarque Ford. Napravnik captured three editions each of the Mineshaft Handicap and Rachel Alexandra Stakes (both gr. III)—including two with subsequent grade I Kentucky Oaks winners Untapable and Believe You Can. Between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. CST, up to 500 fans will be able to purchase a commemorative photo for $10 that can be personalized and autographed by Napravnik while supplies last. All proceeds from the sale of autographed photographs will benefit a pair of Napravnik's favorite charities. Winner of four consecutive leading rider titles at Fair Grounds, Napravnik announced her retirement on national television Oct. 31 in the winner's circle at Santa Anita Park after guiding Untapable to a win in the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I). She and her husband, trainer Joe Sharp, are expecting their first child as a couple in June. Napravnik earned more than $15.4 million in purses at Fair Grounds over the past four seasons, winning both the Louisiana Derby and Fair Grounds Oaks (both gr. II) twice. She captured a total of 49 stakes races, including 13 graded events, at the New Orleans racetrack. First post for Louisiana Derby Preview Day is 12:30 p.m. CST. The live race card will be headlined by the Risen Star Stakes (gr. II) as well as the Rachel Alexandra, Mineshaft, and Fair Grounds Handicap (gr. IIIT). Benoit Photo

I don't agree Rosie deserves this day, a few good years beating up on subpar jockeys means diddly squat.
Just an excuse for CDI to charge more to meet her.

Subpar? She was leading rider twice at Keeneland and a had a good % of wins/mounts at saratoga last year in the top 10. Must count for something right?
