This is the owners decision I bet! Jimmy said no! Well - maybe the speed will collapse - tho' at SA, doubtful!
Travers Winner V. E. Day To Run in BC Classic By Steve Haskin Bloodhorse
Magalen O. Bryant's V. E. Day, winner of the Travers Stakes (gr. I), will run in the Nov. 1 Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) at Santa Anita Racetrack, according to Bryant's racing manager Cynthia Curtis.
The son of English Channel is coming off an eventful trip in the Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I), in which he had to steady to avoid fallen jockey Rajiv Maragh and then go six wide into the far turn before getting fanned wide again at the head of the stretch.
He had little left for the stretch run, finishing sixth, beaten 8 1/2 lengths by Tonalist, who he had bested by 2 1/2 lengths in the Travers.
Prior to the Travers, V. E. Day, trained by Jimmy Jerkens, captured the 1 1/8-mile Curlin Stakes at Saratoga Race Corse after beginning his career on the grass.
"After the Gold Cup, Jimmy and I obviously were a little disappointed, but we've been watching the replays and the horse didn't have the greatest trip and was very wide the whole race," Curtis said. "He still finished in midpack and wasn't beaten that far. So all things considered, he didn't run all that badly, he's been competitive with these horses, and he's been training very well."

unless this race is being run at saratoga, this is irrelevant. unlike the real 3 yr. olds who can win anywhere, horses like v.e. day and tonalist need to tote their track around with them.

Shared belief is the horse and don't be surprised if Chrome shows up with his "A" game on Saturday.

The "real 3 yr olds" according to Wiz are speedsters. Perfect for this year's BC1 Nose - I agree CChrome might surprise.
