This is an oddity. I don't remember the last time I saw a white thoroughbred, on Friday there will be two in the same race! Two White Colts to Compete at Belterra ParkBy Blood-Horse Staff May 27, 2014 1:20 PM Two white Thoroughbreds will square off in an allowance race at Belterra Park. the former River Downs, in Ohio May 30. Paul Brown Jr.'s Chief White Fox and Paul Megson's Wear the Mask are entered in the seventh race, a six-furlong test for 3-year-olds and up that haven't won two races. A field of eight was drawn, and post time is set for 5:54 p.m. EDT. Lori Wydick is named to ride Chief White Fox, while Rodrigo Vergara is named aboard Wear the Mask. Chief White Fox, a 4-year-old colt by The White Fox out of the Shirttail Flying mare Diamonds and Lace, was bred in Kentucky by Brown. He broke his maiden in special weight company last year at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort and hasn't raced since last August for Brown, who also trains. Wear the Mask, a 3-year-old colt by Airdrie Apache out of the Hawkster mare Ms. Dubious, was bred in Nevada by Kim Leavitt.
