10 were entered 3 were MTO only. Thus REALLY 7 entered. Now the 1 & 5 scratched leaving a FULL field of 5.
Superstar Trainer Todd Pletcher has the 3 Horse. A 3-YO making his first start. Someone he conned Stonerstreet to pay $1,800,000 for this one...
4 Perfect Stormy did show improvement first over the turf.
8-Howl- first off the claim, blinkers on. 1st time turf Arch/Kris S
9- Jimmy Soul - no comment
10-Lunar Tales- first time running for Contessa. Showed big speed first put.
My play :
8-Howl : WIN only
Ex box: 8/10 Straight ex: 8/3,4
DD: 8/4,6,7

My 8 got burned out by the 9 ..
Results : 10-9-4-3-8
$1,800,000 for a 4th place finish. In a 5 horse race..
That's why he's a businessman NOT a trainer ... Next race will probably drop him to 25K claimers...

I kind of doubt that will happen, but without watching the race, I would like to know this. if he wins next time out by 12, will there be an investigation ala A.C AVILA? common sense says this was probably a prep and schooling race, but why is that not the same thought process with the horse that won on derby day? like I have said, trainers do this all the time. some trainers win 3 or 4 times s often with 2nd time starters as they do 1st time starters. that's not race fixing. its called handicapping. someone should tell the commissioner in Kentucky what the difference is.
