Can they change the rules part way through the bet? Well, it's Florida racing, I guess just about anything can happen. wiz, we expect you to hammer this one! Gulfstream Sets Rainbow 6 Mandatory PayoutBy Blood-Horse Staff May 10, 2014 12:18 PM Gulfstream Park announced there will be a mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 jackpot bet Memorial Day May 26. The 20-cent wager, which had a carryover entering the May 10 program of $5.9 million, has not been hit since Jan. 10 and would surpass $6 million this weekend. If there is no single winning ticket on the Rainbow 6 through May 25, the track estimates the total pool on Memorial Day could be anywhere from $10 million to $20 million. Including May 10, there are eight more days of live racing until Memorial Day. The Rainbow 6 only pays its full jackpot if there is a single winner with six correct horses in its six races. But on the mandatory payout day, all players with six correct winners (or fewer if no players hit all six) will divide the pool. The mandatory payout was originally scheduled June 29, Gulfstream's last day of racing before the end of the state fiscal year. But Gulfstream president Tim Ritvo said guests and customers have been unanimous asking that the date be moved up. "Since the end of our championship meet our guests, fans, and customers have been asking for us to move the mandatory payout, and many specifically said Memorial Day would be the perfect weekend," Ritvo said. "In our effort to always listen to our customers, we petitioned the state to change the date of the Rainbow 6 and we were granted permission. "We believe having the mandatory payout on Memorial Day will be a memorable one for one or several of our players. All the major tracks will be in action on Memorial Day, there will be some big races, and it will provide us the best reach to all our loyal customers. We'll have some specials planned that day on-track as well. "The bettors are the economic engine of our sport. We've always welcomed the opportunity to discuss any suggestions they may have and I want to thank them, all of them, for making this suggestion." hey let me know if anyone is interested in buying into a community ticket. we can vote on who is the most trustworthy person here and they can play it and we can just sent them the money. you get whatever percentage of the ticket that your contribution covers. but not to be a dick, but im making out the ticket and making the decisions if im involved.

I'll do it - when the date gets closer let me know what the formal arrangements will be, we still have about two + weeks. I think you can pick all six, at least a whole bunch of 5s. I'm sure the racing secretary is already hustling for entries that day, wouldn't be surprised if there are 10-12 horses in all six legs.

yeah I mean I don't know how much everyone else is comfortable playing. but we could sell shares in increments of 50 dollars. if some want to invest more, then they would just have a higher percentage of the ticket. im sure I wont have a problem playing at least 5 or 6 hundred dollars on it, maybe more. whatever I play, I would want to keep at least a 1/3rd for myself, so that would leave 2/3ds for sale. regardless of all my bitching and arguing. I would not have a problem letting any one of 5 or 6 people play and hold the ticket, depending upon who buys into it.

I believe most want less than 20 horses in the Derby so maybe that will work out with CD if we just go and ask them to limit the field to 14, Think that will work? . I have a few people here that have already discussed pooling and playing the Rainbow on that day, some are not members here but I am sure they would want to go in on it if that was O.K. with the rest. i think it would be cool to post the ticket here so all could follow it but if not we could just PM the players with the ticket.

I'm cool with wiz capping it as long as he doesn't single Bayern . Now THAT is funny. But I don't think they'll be running any NW2X races that afternoon. I'd be in for at least $50. There are probably going to be a bunch of big syndicates put together for that day, and I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't at least some shenanigans, too. Remember that big carryover Pick 6 at Del Mar a few years ago? A trainer, Paul Aguirre, who had just five winners all year going into that pick 6 had two legs, and his owner happened to have the only winning ticket. Hmmmm. As for the handicapping - wiz doing it would be fine with me, I don't know anyone else here (not slighting anyone) who has the discipline he has (NOT sucking up!!!) I think it might even be good to break up the bets into two, three, or more tickets to get better coverage in some of the races, but that's his call.

yes that's the way I play usually. multiple tickets.
now im going to be completely blunt and honest. for the most part, I trust everyone on here. some I don't and I think we all know who at least one of those people are. so I would say we need to agree to some sort of agreement and then have each partner send an email to each other partner stating their participation and amount they invested beforehand. then all partners either send or deposit money into the account of whoever we decide is going to play and hold the ticket. if that person is playing online into a tvg or expressbet type account, they can even send the money via green dot money pak. like I said, until I start handicapping I have no idea how nuch I would play, but the more money available, obviously the more we coverage we can get. I would like to have an idea of who is interested and how much they wish to invest by next weekend. that gives us a few days to move money around get everything straight. plus we can vote on who plays and holds the WINNING ticket.
