We shall see how the #14 runs saturday from that post. The connections seem to not mind at all. There are some nice horses coming in for this race. Too bad O'Neill had to scratch.

THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH LOOKS LIKE A STRONGER FIELD, BUT THE SUPPORTING CARD LOOKS MUCH STRONGER AT THE FAIR GROUNDS.

So how many more hours are they going to walk around in circles? Post time was about 4 minutes ago and they aren't even CLOSE to the starting gate!

G-Money just proved he's a "bush" league jock.. The ride he gave the 2 was horrible!... Now mind you the 2 was never going to win, but still..
The 1 ran a game race and Mike "big money" Smith got the bob....
In my opinion the Fountain of Youth MUCH more impressive...

I think Vicar proved the Derby distance is no problem. I think it might be for the first 2 in the FOY.

I think Intense Holiday just ran his race LOL How long since a Derby winner came out of LA? Grindstone '96. I don't think it was a particularly strong race. Taipiture was way more impressive in the Rachel Stakes.

Pres Melancon was yanking him all around the first turn and down the backstretch. The horse looked like he wanted to go the whole time. Then when it was time to go, he said "screw you" to the jockey and just didn't care by that time.

Then when it was time to go, he said "screw you" to the jockey and just didn't care by that time. I disagree with both of you! I just watched the replay and IMO, the horse simply didn't have it. One of my pet peeves is when jocks get blamed for a loss.(unless it's blatant, which this was not) I saw no yanking down the backstretch. I did see holding back because it was a long race. It looked as if the jock was told to try to rate him, Had he let him go, he would have been caught by the closers IMO. Yes - he's won on the front end but not against this type of competition. At GP, he might have won due to the speed bias, but not FG. Maybe Melancon was riding per his instructions, maybe he was trying to get position, maybe the horse was rank. We don't know but in this case, the horse was right there (thanks to the jock) and had every chance to win. He just didn't have it! And yes, I had him in my exactas.
