Wow! "High weight" at 123 pounds? Time was the weights in handicaps started at 126, in many cases even higher. I wonder what Forego's weight be in the race?

its only February and its his first official start against older in a handicap isn't it? if they start him off at 126 now and he wins, then what? he wil be carrying 130 by 4th of july and will basically be done til breeders cup time. you act as if you are surprised by this. the weighting system has been like this for 20 years now. truthfully, I have always thought handicap races are stupid to begin with. why should the best horses be penalized? never made any sense to me. oh wait a minute. that was a comment about an east coast based horse, wasn't it? was it bashing him or biased? just checking to see if that comment was allowed or in my script.

He was the best horse at the end of the year besides the HOY but 123 still seems a little low for all of them seeing that the 3yr olds will be carrying 126 lbs in the Derby.

THE BEST HORSE IS NOT PENALIZED, THE REASON FOR THE WEIGHT IS SO THAT ALL HORSES ARE ON A LEVEL FIELD, THE WEIGHT SYSTEM WAS BORROWED FROM ENGLAND WHERE HORSES RACE IN HANDICAP RACES MOST OF THEIR CAREERS.BUT I'M SURE A MAN LIKE YOU WHO HAS WON MILLIONS AT THE TRACK KNEW THAT ALREADY

Wiz - Yes - Despite you wanting to make some of us look stupid (those who often disagree with you LOL), I know weights are different than they were 20 yrs.ago But - because he beat GOD in the G1 Clark (not his 1st start against older!), ran a close second in the BC, and considering the field, I thought it seemed low. But I'm factually corrected as the last 3 years for the Donn, highweights were:
2011 Fly Down 122 4 yr old 2012 Flat Out 121 6 yr old 2013 Flat Out 121 7 yr oold
