Indiana is improving their breeding program
Multiple stakes-winning sire Deputy Storm has been relocated to R Star Stallions at RichWine in Anderson, Ind., for an advertised fee of $1,500 in 2014.
The 13-year-old son of Forestry previously stood at Northview Stallion Station in Chesapeake City, Md. He has sired five crops of racing age, led by multiple stakes winners Deputy Fling and Twelve Pack Shelly, as well as stakes-placed Stormy Adventure.
“We appreciate the confidence Northview Stallion Station has in our quality of service,” Leigh Ann Hopper, speaking on behalf of R Star Stallions, said. “Followers familiar with Deputy Storm’s progeny sales and excellent percentage wins per starts are excited to have such a consistent producer in Indiana.”
Deputy Storm won four of 11 starts during his racing career for earnings of $183,465. In addition to wins in the Tyro Stakes and King Cotton Stakes, Deputy Storm finished in the money in the Grade 2 Hutcheson Stakes and the Grade 3 Sapling Stakes.
Bred in Kentucky by Lady Slipper Farm, Deputy Storm is out of the two-time Canadian champion Silver Deputy mare Deputy Jane West, whose four winners from six foals to race also includes Grade 2-placed stakes winner Bag Lady Jane.
