I realize its only 3 weeks, but the numbers speak loud & clear. The one thing NYRA should find troubling is that Monday the 20th was a Holiday and the numbers weren't that impressive at all. Yesterday with barely any real competition the ISW was down significantly, when looking at the 13th's numbers. The other thing I find funny is the attendance, I wonder how they come up with these numbers?? They don't charge for admission and if you walk in through the Casino there is no turnstile.
1/13
Attendance: 2,194 Handle: $ 676,188 ISW: $ 4,120,181
1/20 Holiday:
Attendance: None posted Handle: $ 852,668 ISW: $ 4,359,642
1/27
Attendance: 2,006 Handle: $ 632,133 ISW: $ 3,536,724

A comparison of the 1st Monday to the 3rd. I'm not including the 20th because it was a Holiday
On Track Handle:
1/13: 676,188 1/27: 632,133
A decline of $44,050
ISW:
1/13: $ 4,120,181 1/27: $ 3,536,724
A decline of $ 583,457
That's a significant decline when their only competition was Beulah,Turf Paradise all Class D Tracks at best...
Numbers don't lie, people do
