So many foals but this photo captures breeding basics for me From Darby Dan Farm G1 winner Dialed In sires first foal Florida Derby (G1) winner Dialed In sired his first foal when a colt was born late Monday, Jan. 13 at Sierra Farm in Lexington, KY. Bred by Sierra Farm, the chestnut colt with white blaze is out of the Grade 2-winning Diesis (GB) mare Diadella, a winner of three combined stakes races with earnings of $563,274 on the track. Michael Callanan of Sierra Farm tweeted this about the colt: “He’s a big, pretty boy!” Dialed In, who bred 154 mares in his first book, became the favorite for the 2011 Kentucky Derby after impressive wins in the Holy Bull S. (G3) and Florida Derby (G1) at Gulfstream. By A.P. Indy’s Horse of the Year Mineshaft, Dialed In is out of the Storm Cat mare Miss Doolittle. He’s set to stand his second season in 2014 at Darby Dan Farm for a fee of $7,500 stands and nurses.
