all the talk on here about how to fix or why racing isn't as popular anymore, has anyone considered that of all the major sports that were or are still popular, racing is the only one that seems to have these problems with cancelling events? I know baseball has occasional rainouts, but at least they have the common sense to try to schedule their games during a time of year when it is less likely to happen, or they have newer facilities with roofs to avoid these weather problems. how many cancellations do you see in football or basketball? hell even sports like tennis and golf that do have weather issues hold off for hours before they officially cancel the days events. horse racing has officials wake up 6 hours before post time and decide they don't want to participate today. fans get sick of this kind of unreliability. people wonder why fans are going to casinos instead of racetracks? when was the last time a crap game was cancelled due to high winds? just asking...........

Maybe. It's been an unusual winter. Did Delta really cancel yesterday because of cold weather?
