Aqueduct Cancels Friday, Jan. 24, Racing Bloodhorse
Citing cold weather, the New York Racing Association canceled live racing at Aqueduct Racetrack for Friday, Jan. 24. It is the third full or partial card cancellation due to weather since Jan. 1.
The Jamaica, N.Y. track will remain open for simulcasting Friday, with live racing scheduled to resume Jan. 25.
According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature in New York City is expected to be 17 degrees Friday. At noon, the temperature is expected to be 15 with 15 mile-per-hour winds making it feel like 1 degree below zero.

It's freezing here! Each jurisdiction makes their own decision so nothing to argue about.
Seriously, if you think something is "bait", just ignore it. Then the fights - often about nothing - will not start!

Sad that people have to make stuff up to "prove" a negative point. For the record, the temperature in Grove City Ohio was 38F on Monday and 29F on Tuesday - MUCH higher than the forecast high of 17F at Aqueduct today. KK, there really weren't many jockeys braving the "cold" on Monday and Tuesday, there were a total of only 85 horses running in the 16 races (8 per day), that's barely 5 per race. Attachments:

Before this thread gets out of control with needless arguing, it's now closed.
There's a Cancellations thread for today.
