Penn National, Charles Town cancel Tuesday cards By DRF Staff PrintEmail Penn National in Grantville, Pa., and Charles Town in Charles Town, W.Va., each canceled their Tuesday race cards as a major storm moved northeast toward the East Coast. The storm is scheduled to begin Tuesday, intensify Tuesday night, and bring a mix of rain and snow to the area through Wednesday afternoon. Both tracks are scheduled to resume racing Wednesday.
Penn National is slated to hold its Thanksgiving Eve Racing Festival on Wednesday, which will feature four stakes topped by the $250,000 Fabulous Strike. The Fabulous Strike is scheduled to match defending race winner Ben’s Cat against Ribo Bobo, who has won nine races in a row. First post on Wednesday is 6 p.m. Eastern, with the stakes carded as the first four races on the card. The final stakes, the Fabulous Strike, has a tentative post time of 7:22 p.m.
First post at Charles Town on Wednesday evening is 7:15 p.m. Eastern.
