DEAR ED, I BET YOU FEEL LIKE A REAL DUMB ASS THIS MORNING DON'T YOU ? HERE YOU ARE $100,000 BROKER AND YOUR HORSES' 3 YEAR OLD CHAMPIONSHIP HONORS ARE IN DOUBT. ALL BECAUSE YOU WENT AGAINST YOUR FIRST THOUGHT OF SHUTTING THIS GALLANT FILLY DOWN AFTER THE BELDAME. YOU PLAYED RIGHT INTO CA'S HAND BY RUNNING YOUR HORSE ON A SPEED BIASED TRACK, HAD YOU FOLLOWED YOUR FIRST MIND AND SHUT YOUR HORSE DOWN YOU WOULDN'T BE IN THE SITUATION YOU ARE IN NOW, BUT BEING A SPORTSMEN, YOU WANTED TO GIVE THE FANS A SHOW TOTALLY DISREGARDING THAT THE FANS DON'T PAY THE BILLS. WELL, ANYWAY I HOPE YOUR HORSE ISN'T SO OVERDONE FROM THIS HARD SEASON AND THAT SHE IS ABLE TO TRAIN ON INTO HER 4 YEAR OLD SEASON. -KEYSTONE KING

Very well said King.
Stanco made a huge mistake getting caught up in the hype surrounding the lore of the BC. Now, he and his filly are paying dearly for it. If she had been put away for the year after the Beldame, it wouldn't have mattered what Beholder did in the Distaff, Princess would still have the 3YO Filly Eclipse sown up. Instead, he ships her out west to run on the California Speedway which clearly is not a level-playing field.
I've been saying it all along and I'll say it again: The BC is an irrelevant mess. And again, I hit 4 out of 5 races on yesterday's card so no sour grapes here, just the truth.
