Who Should Have Been or Not Have Been Nominated?

Always controversy! Whom do you think should or should not have been nominated?
It seems $ determines most of the finalists. What are your "gripes"?
Mine:
Reddam: I just don't like this guy. He sells IHA to Japan ASAP after US fans hugely supported him. He's got tons of $. Couldn't he find a US buyer? Maybe not since the bloodlines aren't the greatest? He is also just not an owner that helps the sport imho.
Bill Mott or even Asmussen rather than Baffert. Mr. California picks up lots of $ by racing in those small CA fields, often with multiple entries. (wasn't tere a race where 4 out of 5 or 6 were his?) Too many of his horses are pushed too hard and have shortened careers. And the handling of Game On Dude was far from outstanding.
Simply because he danced throughout the year, travelled and is coming back in 2013, Du;llahan instead of Bode. Dullahan also earned more $ and beat older horses. I can't buy the argument he's "synth only" since a recent HOTY was a synth specialist.
