KTA/KTOB Nominees for Champs & Broodmare

Kentucky-bred Champions and Broodmare of the Year nominees announced
The Kentucky Thoroughbred Association (KTA) and Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders (KTOB) Board of Directors release the nominees for 2012 KTA/KTOB Kentucky-bred Champions and Broodmare of the Year. Traditionally voted on by the full Board of Directors, for the first time in 2013 voting on the KY-bred Champions and Broodmare of the Year has been opened to all eligible KTA/KTOB members and continues through Friday, February 15.
The winners of each division will be announced at the KTOB Awards Luncheon at Keeneland on Thursday, April 25.
The nominees are as follows:
Broodmare of the Year: Leslie's Lady, Lisa Danielle, Matlacha Pass, Mining My Own (click here for American Produce Reports on all four mares)
Horse of the Year: I'll Have Another, Wise Dan
Two-Year-Old Colt: George Vancouver, Joha, Power Broker, Shanghai Bobby
Two-Year-Old Filly: Beholder, Dreaming of Julia, Executiveprivilege, Pure Fun
Three-Year-Old Colt: Alpha, Dullahan, I'll Have Another, Union Rags
Three-Year-Old Filly: Believe You Can, Contested, In Lingerie, Lady of Shamrock
Handicap Horse: Fort Larned, Game On Dude, Shackleford, Wise Dan
Handicap Mare: Groupie Doll, Include Me Out, Love and Pride, Royal Delta
Turf Horse Male: Point of Entry, Wise Dan
Turf Horse Female: Lady of Shamrock, Tapitsfly
Sprinter: Groupie Doll, Mizdirection, Trinniberg
Steeplechase: Demonstrative, Pierrot Lunaire
Racing Abroad: Certify, Elusive Kate, Portus Blendium
In existence since 1967 and 1983, respectfully, the KTOB and KTA direct their efforts toward promoting and protecting the Thoroughbred industry by maintaining the highest levels of racing, breeding and training standards in the Commonwealth.
