We here at Quantum U cannot cut your food and chew it for you too. We CAN give you Quantum tosses and in this Belmont there are three what we call BHT's (blackholetosses)...This means money will disappear like it never existed. Revolutionary becomes the latest BHT. He may even be the wise guys horse. E laughs at this as he, the Eliteone is THE original WG (wise guy). This horse is for the bandwagoneers and the naïve people who THINK they know about horses..He can't get the distance, period! Save your money people. At least donate half of your wager to Tornado Relief or just give it to a bum. Even if he smokes crack at least the money will have gone for something. Orb and Oxbow may be THE two weakest winners EVER of a TC race. Neither of them wants to go more than a mile but in this weak horseflesh environment have lucked out. There is luck and there is stupidity. Stupidity is asking a horse to go further than he even dreams of. All 3 of these BHT's are distance lacking and Orb is a spent horse and a Malibu Moon as well. Gimmie a break, huh? Any Questions? Your Welcome, Dismissed!

E1, Revolutionary is impeccably bred and his pedigree suggests he is one of the more likely to not have a problem with the distance...so I wonder why it is you say he can't? Just curious.
Dont' knwo why you are such a hater of Orb but having visited Spendthrift I can tell you than Malibu Moon is an impressive stallion (very sturdy and solidl) and he certainly isnt' a chump. As for Oxbow, I think the distance is too far for him BUT if he gets alone on a loose and comfy (albeit SLOOOOOOOOW) lead he may just have something left in his tank and I am sure Gary S. knows that.
I personally am very interested in Will Take Charge and Palace malice...along with Golden Soul and the newcomber to the group, Incognito. Incognito is a son of my beloved Octave! I LOVED her and she was as game a filly as there was...not to mention this horse is a son of pensioned super stallion AP Indy. Very intriguing to me.
Anyway...just a few comments from me...not arguing your quantum theories or anything but I would like to think I know alot about horses (perhaps not an expert) and I don't think Revolutionary, Orb, or Oxbox will be limping and staggering home in last. Orb has the benefit of home track advantage and if he runs will be running in his own backyard which could help him. Just because he didnt' annihilate the preakness field sure doesn't mean he is a chump. He was just the best horse on that day...as with every other Derby winner out there. Just my $.02!

I know it's early but with the probables, who would be your pick Mr. Elite?
I think you are dead wrong about Malibu Moon. He is a very decent sire with excellent bloodlines.
Oxbow? Oh - nonononono - he will get a piece of the pot! Also, sneaky coach may have Will Take Charge highly geared up.
I don't have a pick but I am loyal to Oxbow (my pick since Feb) and he will be in all boxes.
wiz - you two are cracking me up!

Evelyn, I have been a WIll Take Charge fan since I very first saw him name. I was always a fan of Take Charge Lady and also of Take Charge Indy last year and Will Take Charge is a very nice animal. Methinks he is a slowly coming along and is perhaps maturing right about now. He is a TOWERING colt who stands over 17 hands high and has a HUGE,lengthy stride. He settles in behind the front runners and usually stalks but comes running when it counts and with those huge strides and a decent trip he definitely could ripple the pond.
I concur about Malibu Moon as well...went and saw him at Spendthrift and he is definitely a very well put together horse indeed.
I too think Gary will have Oxbox in a good spot...I am imagining a VERY pedestrian pace and like I said you can't discount Coach or Gary in here as I think Gary will know when to let the colt roll and if he gets alone on a pedestrian pace by himself where he can dictate the race I think you'll find him in the money at the wire.
I am VERY curious about Unlimited Budget...I don't think she can be overlooked too much and she is a monstrous filly as well. I don't think Pletcher would even consider putting her in here if he didnt' think she had a chance and it almost reminds me of him going to the Belmont with Rags to Rishes...while she and Unlimited Budget are different animals I still think Todd must be very high on her to even consider sending her into the Belmont because he seems generally cautious about pitting the fillies against the colts....then again it could be Mike Repole pushing for it too and then Todd would have to do what his owner wanted.
I also REALLY liek Incognito...thought he was going to sit out but read today that he is pointing to the Belmont now and he is a son of AP Indy out of one of my all-time faves...OCTAVE! If he gets any gutsiness from her he will hopefully be a factor as well.
Still not sure what to make of Freedom Child yet. And I am one who thinks Orb is NOT totally washed up and he has a few good runs left in him for sure...plus you KNOW if they go, Shug will have him ready and he's running in his own backyard which never hurts too much! LOL Decisions...decisions...decisions.
Best of luck with your Oxbow bets.

I'm not sure about Unlimited Budget. Why her and not Dreaming of Julia?
This is from today's Paulick Report. At the end is some interesting information about Freedom Child and Lasix.
Pletcher May Bring Girl Power to Belmont by Natalie Voss
In addition to three confirmed Belmont Stakes starters in Palace Malice, Revolutionary, and Overanalyze, trainer Todd Pletcher may be sending a filly to the 1 1⁄2-mile contest. Unlimited Budget remains unconfirmed for the Belmont, but if she goes, Pletcher said it is “very, very likely” jockey Rosie Napravnik will get the mount.
Unlimited Budget would be following in the hoofprints of Pletcher predecessor and 2007 Belmont winner Rags to Riches, who became the first filly in over a century to win the race when she nosed out Curlin at the wire. Although Unlimited Budget has demonstrated solid form and notable speed figures in her previous starts, Pletcher said he is worried her pedigree does not hold up to the Belmont distance as well as that of Rags to Riches.
“It takes a very talented filly to compete with the boys, and I think based on a couple of her wins, she can do that,” said Pletcher, who said that physically she compares well to Rags to Riches. “They’re both strong fillies, which is very important when you’re running against colts, you want to make sure they’re going to stack up.”
With that said, Pletcher told reporters he does not think the 1 1⁄2-mile distance is, in itself, inherently more taxing for fillies than colts. Although Rags to Riches started just once more before retiring after her Belmont win, the Hall of Fame conditioner believes the stumble at the race’s start had more to do with her struggle to recover post-race than the distance.
“It certainly gives you added confidence, knowing it’s been done with a filly somewhat recently, and the success that other fillies have had following Rags to Riches—you look at Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta, some of these other fillies— they’ve certainly shown that fillies of their generation can sometimes compete with the best colts,” he said.
The Pletcher posse will face Preakness winner Oxbow, trained by Pletcher’s former employer, D. Wayne Lukas. Gary Stevens will again get the mount and plans to fly to Belmont Park on Monday afternoon to give himself time to ride over the surface before the big race.
Following Oxbow’s strong work at Churchill Downs on Thursday morning, Stevens and Lukas are confident about the colt’s chances at “The Big Sandy,” which Stevens thinks can sometimes play similarly to the deep Pimlico track on Preakness day.
Ultimately though, Stevens said he isn’t worried about the surface.
“I don’t really care how it comes up, because I know he’ll handle the mud, he’ll handle a laboring racetrack that there can be at Belmont Park … he does not have to take his track with him,” said Stevens. “He reminds me a lot of (1995 Derby and Belmont winner) Thunder Gulch in that way.”
Peter Pan Stakes victor Freedom Child will add to the race’s depth following his 13 1⁄4-length win over the Belmont surface on May 11. Terry Finley, founder and president of West Point Thoroughbreds, which has a one-third share in the horse, said the ridgling’s running style should help his chances.
“He’s got such a cool middle move; he kind of runs horses off their feet,” said Finley. “It’s not a race where real deep closers have done well, so in that respect we feel like we’re in pretty good shape, but you never know what’s going to be thrown at you in the first part of it.”
Freedom Child did not make it to the Kentucky Derby after being declared a nonstarter in the Grade 1 Wood Memorial Stakes. An assistant starter failed to let go of Freedom Child’s bridle when the gates opened, inhibiting his take-off. Finley said he and trainer Tom Albertrani are trying to put the incident out of their minds, and they hope their horse will, too.
In that Wood Memorial start, Freedom Child received Lasix for the first time in five starts, which Finley said was based on the horse’s age.
“We’ve had pretty good luck waiting until the right time to administer Lasix before they run,” said Finley. “We all know if you look at the data, it usually improves a horse by three to four lengths. It’s a performance enhancer.”

Before looking at the actual Past Performances of the race which won't be out till next week, my initial horses that I think are going to run good are Freedom Child and Palace Malice. Both have speed and should be able to get the distance. Freedom Child may be the absolute best of this crop and if he can put Palace Malice away then he may win by double digits.

Ev, not ready to pick now, only to toss
Treet, Revolutionary a one run middle distance horse...slow as hell too...he gets lost ala Dullahan in a race like the Belmont.. Orb is yesterdays news, todays Uncle Mo..Oxbow is as slow as they come...cant see any of these three in the money...definitely not winning..THIS is Quantum Fact and we live by that...or die with it...if and when we die we win the next nine times anyway using the very same Quantum Theory. Of course this is us. We are not forcing Quantums on anyone else. Just remember afterwards what we said.
