For himself the Eliteone goes with 2:32.40 without Java's War in the race. With Java's War we say 2:28.

SO YOUR SAYING JAVA WILL WIN BY 22 LENGTHS IF HE RUNS IN THE BELMONT, RIGHT? I WILL TELL YOU WHAT I WILL DO. YOU CAN HAVE JAVA MINUS 11 LENGTHS, HALF OF WHAT YOU SUPPOSEDLY THINK HE WILL WIN BY, AND I WILL BET ANYTHING YOU LIKE. GRANTED HE RUNS IN THE RACE AND NOT SOME 12,500 CLM. WHERE HE BELONGS.

Wiz, just pick your time and don't worry about E or Java. I do believe with a normal start Java has the Quantum Potential to beat this bunch by about 15 lengths. He'd probably win by 3 going away. Deep closer and all but if it set up maximum situation for him he could crush by 15 easily.

I think that this years race has a lot more talent than last years where the first two, Union Rags and Paynter, were really the only class in the race and I don't know how good they were in the end in terms of what caliber horses they really were compared to past Belmont runners. Dullahan also proved to be class later on but did not run good on that day.
That being said you have I believe three horses (Freedom Child, Palace Malice and Oxbow) that have pretty good speed and can last the 1 1/2 so I think it will be a pretty fast race compared to last year which was run in 2:30/2. I don't think they will send Palace Malice like they did in the Derby or Oxbow like they did in the Preakness but both of those will let Freedom Child set the pace, as he is the most natural speed horse, with palace malice and Oxbow close behind. That will push Freedom Child to fast fractions and final time and I think as of now he is the best horse and will prevail in a final time that will beat last years time by at least a second.
So my guess is 2:29 flat but it is still early. I think there is only 3 confirmed runners so far.
