Preakness Alibi Breakfast: He'll Have to Run Down Us It started with a cup of coffee in the late 1930s. On the porch of the historic Pimlico Clubhouse, a group of trainers, owners, and dignitaries gathered in the mornings to tout the merits of their horses before the Preakness Stakes (and perhaps ready their excuses for losing). The tradition continues today, as connections and media gather to celebrate the Preakness and Black-Eyed Susan days, hand out awards, and do some good-natured ribbing. You'fll definitely hear a good joke or two, and maybe even a bold statement to rile up the crowd, as was the case this year. Here are some moments from the 2013 Alibi Breakfast. www.paulickreport.com/news/ray-s-paddock/preakness-alibi-breakfast-hell-have-to-run-down-us/
