Orb has produced the two greatest pre-Triple Crown workouts in recent history.....better works than Barbaro's derby work, better works than Street Sense's Derby work, better than Hard Spun's derby work (2nd in 07'), better than Pioneerofthenile (2nd in 09') derby work, better than Animal Kingdom's Derby work. The way Orb looks is unbelievable.
That all being said, the freak in Baffert's barn appears to be ready to roll and will have some sort of a say in the Preakness outcome.....11 4/5, 23 4/5, 35, 58 1/5, topped in 1.10 4/5, gallop out in 1.24 4/5. Even if he can't go 9.5, he'll burn up the front runners and Orb should come rolling.
I had Governor Charlie before the Derby (but then he was withdrawn), and I'll probably load up on him (and Orb) this Saturday....all depends on what happens between now and then. GO ORB!

ORB IS HERE!! Derby winner Orb arrives in Baltimore for 138th Preakness After strong workout at Belmont Park, horse set to begin preparations at Pimlico After strong workout at Belmont Park, horse set to begin preparations at Pimlico By Chris Korman The Baltimore Sun 6:01 p.m. EDT, May 13, 2013 Orb, the Kentucky Derby winner who will be the favorite to win Saturday's 138th running of the Preakness, arrived at Pimlico Race Course today. He walked off a large transport van at about 3:20 p.m., calmly striding past the assembled media toward Barn C's stall number 40, which housed all three Triple Crown winners of the 1970s during their trips to Baltimore. First, though, he performed what has become a ritual. Led by exercise ride Jenn Patterson, he slipped through an opening in a white fence adorned with yellow signs commemorating all 11 horses who have won the Derby, Preakness and Belmont. There, not far from Secretariat's sign, he dropped his head and tasted the grass. He grazed for 40 minutes, at times shaking out his limbs as if loosening the muscles. Earlier in the morning he'd turned in a stunning breeze at Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y., confirming to Patterson and trainer Shug McGaughey that he had not only bounced back fully from the Derby but improved. "Everything he does, he learns from," Patterson said. "That's what makes him special." After eating, Orb consented to being me to his new stall. A claustrophobic horse, he only squeezes into tight spaces after having time to stand on the grass and eat. McGaughey brought Orb to Baltimore so that the athletic looking horse -- he'd be described as "long" by a basketball scout, as he appears somewhat gangly but moves smoothly -- could get accustomed to his surroundings.
