I don't ever recall seeing this type of public reporting after big races. It almost makes me wonder if this is some sort of publicity campaign because of all the media reports about drugs in racing, the Senate hearings and the bill being presented to Congress. in addition to the many stories about O'Neill, Rodriguez and of course, the Dutrow suspension. Racing has been in the news a lot because of drugs. It's all been negative publicity. Will articles like this bring people back? I don't think so!
I think the headine is deceiving because ALL the runners were not tested, only 4 Oaks and 5 Derby. Aren't there many drugs for which there are no tests? There is no mention of that, of course. It also does not say ALL "prohibited substances" either.
Maybe it's just me, but this article does little to "assure" the public.

The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission received the post-race test results May 7 from both the Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) and the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), and all samples have been cleared with no irregularities found.
The KHRC's official laboratory, HFL Sport Science, couriered samples of the top three Oaks finishers plus one other horse, and the top three Kentucky Derby finishers plus two other horses, to its lab the evenings of May 3 and May 4. Normal protocol for other races is to test two horses per race.
Chemists and analysts worked through the weekend to expedite testing results. All samples were subjected to full instrumental analysis that detects more than 1,500 regulated medications and prohibited substances.
"The ability to produce results quickly gives the wagering public, industry stakeholders, and all competitors the confidence that these races were conducted with integrity," said KHRC executive director, John Ward. "I am grateful to the HFL employees who worked diligently to give us a quick turnaround time."
