Blame Lite Cait if anything...If he is not a plodder than I don't know what a plodder is. He makes Ice Box look good....Let him prove me wrong. He has once already.

I looked at many horse racing terms sites. Most did not list "plodder" but these did. I don't think either describes Orb.
PLODDER - A horse who tends to stay in the middle of the pack and neither gain much ground nor fall too far behind. It just "plods" along, content to hang around with the others.
Plodder: A horse that keeps the same pace all the way. A slow, methodical gainer.
I also found this - LOL It may describe Orb! It's from The Telegraph - Oct 24, 1988
In horse-racing terms, Bush is a plodder. He is the equivalent of a horse without much speed who prefers a distance race and never quits

so let me write all this dowm. every horse that elite has ever wagered on since the begining of time has either won, or was best but lost because of extenuating cicumstances, correct? results dont matter. will to win doesnt matter. versatility doesnt matter. just continue to shape and recalculate every result to meet your view of what should have happend elite. facts are facts. the only race eg ever beat ss was in his oen backyard in the worst race ss ever race. thats a fact. now ive seen you twice in this post mention eg times in the gotham and belmont, but in every other previous post, you continually repeat that times mean nothing. your words!! and i remember those days precisely, and the day they ran the gotham, that track all week long was as fast as it has ever been. as far as eg's other wins that year, yes he won some big races............all in new york against fields that did not have ss in them. but im not denying he was a good horse, even great horse. just not as good as ss!then you want to keep saying with a different jockey. how about the fact that ss was carrying around a coked out junkie on his back during these 3 races? maybe if pincay or mccarron had been up for the tc races he would have run even better? you never know. im not saying patrick did anything wrong, but it is just something that can be argued either way. the fact is eg had every chance to get by in the preakness and was outgamed. he lost 3 out of 4. and he lived in new york. but were all blind, right? you have a serious disorder dude when it comes to seperating fact from fiction. but i knew this when i started these conversations with you. i remembered this from the tvg days. facts mean nothing to you. you live in your own little squantum world like rainman throwing numbers and figures off the wall like they are facts, when in reality they are just thoughts floating around in your head............ 15 minutes to wapner!!!!

Wiz you are out of control now. You just can't accept the fact EG lost by a nose and it should be 2-2. You want to hang on to a stat. That is not how horseflesh is measured. You are a total lightweight. Easy Goer lost 5-8 lengths to Sunday Silence in that Preakness. Outgamed my ass. It was the greatest race in defeat the Eliteone has ever seen! Past Seattle Slew and Exceller and Alydar's Belmont. As for what you remember about ZVG should be the Eliteone was Numero Uno of 15,000 there. My mail was like Elvis. I shared knowledge and still do. It seems like maybe you have some issues with all things Elite? I get that alot

Did EG and SS run in the 2013 Derby? LOL It's fine if sometimes threads goi off topic but seriously, when they are off topic for too long, other members lose interest in the topic and we'd like for that not to happen. So even though I know you guys are being cool and I think you're funny, this is the wrong thread! There's nothing "wrong" with your posts other than they are unrelated to the thread. If you want to open an EG/SS thread, that's fine. These posts could be moved there, For now though: Back to the Derby - here's my question - of the Derby runners heading to the Preakness, which one has the best chance of bursting Orb's bubble? I'd say Oxbow. Not because he was my early play - I think Pimlio suits him. ps - It's true - you can't please all the folks all the time. and, It ain't easy!

well - hell - she didnm't mean to kill the thread!! am not picking anyone yet - goldencents could be a runaway - see how the track is playing - yeah - i want orb to win - but i won't be betting him except in boxes - so far, no murmurs or gossip of a md horse - am waiting lol personally wish dick small would enter because he could add some dry witand human interest to the telecast - after the derby telecast, heaven knows new blood is needed so people don't fall asleep on their sofas!

IM THE SAME WAY CAIT. DONT UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE FEELS THE NEED TO PROCLAIM THEIR PICKS FOR THESE TC RACES WEEKS IN ADVANCE WITHOUT KNOWING MANY OF THE IMPORTANT FACTORS, WEATHER, COMPETITION, PACE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL, ODDS. I KNOW EVEN WHEN I POST MY PICKS FOR YOU GHUYS ON THE QUARTERS, I NEVER TRULY KNOW WHAT OR HOW IM GOING TO PLAY THE RACES I LIKE UNTIL 2 OR 3 MINUTES TO POST.

Um, slightly disagree with Ev here re: Easy Goer...Besides the Orb / Easy / Shug connection which alone allows for participation, Easy Goer is one of the all time greats and should always be relevant for comparisons in any thread as the immortals are. Of course I hear Ev about hijacking...Wiz just needed a reality check. He's a stat man. Bonds is better than Ruth for Wiz. He still thinks Columbus discovered America.
