Julia could enter but Pletcher has said no! maybe he'll change his mind? question re futures - IF she were to run, would bets for "all others" now include her? Winning Cause, Tiz a Minister ruled out; field at 19 By Jay Privman LOUISVILLE, Ky - The likely field for the 139th Kentucky Derby on Saturday at Churchill Downs came into sharper focus Monday, when trainer Bob Baffert finally made it official that neither Govenor Charlie nor Code West would run, trainer Todd Pletcher decided to pass the race with Winning Cause, and owner Stephen Young said Tiz a Minister would not travel from California. "He has a little bit of a sore foot," Young said. "We can't get him ready in time." Those developments leave a prospective field of 19, one short of the maximum, with Golden Soul, who has 14 points, ranked 19th. Entries are due, and posts will be drawn, on Wednesday. The defections of Baffert's pair were expected, as was Pletcher's decision. Pletcher worked Winning Cause a half-mile on Monday morning, and he was caught in 48.46 seconds by Daily Racing Form, but Pletcher said passing the race was the smart thing to do. Winning Cause, whose success has been on synthetic surfaces, is expected to make his next start on Polytrack at Woodbine www.drf.com/news/kentucky-derby-winning-cause-tiz-minister-ruled-out-field-19

Do her owners have a Derby win already? hmm If she were to win the Derby,as long as she wasn't listed individually, the winner would be the field or all others
