I never realized "Unbelievable" was used by Durkin before Trevor Denman used it. Was Tom being mocked?!

Julia cannot do this. Trevor couldn't carry Durkin's mike.
Any Questions? Class Dismissed!

think julia has great potential - but - she is julia, not RA the great
does anyone think if she wins the oaks, she goes in the preakness? i'm guessing only if she wins big will that be a possibility

We think it's highly doubtful Cait, whatever the win margin. If she wins.

I think if Julia wins the Oaks, she'll go for the Filly TC. But I guess it depends on how both the Derby and Oaks pan out. I'm so intrigued by Challedon's posts re Julia's "figures"! On paper, it would seem she would beat all 3 year olds.

To answer the question posed by the thread title, no, I do not believe given the quality of this year's Kentucky Oaks field that we willsee Julia duplicate the effort of Rachel The Great in 2009. And that's fine by me. Julia is her own horse and will carve out her own path. No need for comparisons although we know they are almost unavoidable.
Cait, if she does win and does so emphatically as I expect her to, then I say skip the Preakness and wait five weeks for the Belmont ala Rags To Riches. The mile and 1/2 distance will suit her more so than the shorter distance of the Preakness.

well - i hope julia wins the oaks by tons so larry gets his shot at "Unbelievable" lol
as i'm also intrigued with chall's thorograph numbers, and because sometimes i like risks (ask teach - altho he usually calls them foolish shots!) i'd enter her in both the derby and the oaks and see what happens with the draws - yes - i know she'd need a derby jock - no problem - just call the babe lol (that would be the very up and coming bj hernandez who has proven he can win the big ones)
all that being said - i think she goes for the filly tc
agree she is not RA - she is Julia - who knows what her future holds?
