It's been a rough 48 hrs for BB. I can't find any official comments re WA but i think he walked off the track Smith did the right thing. The horse looked awful before the race.

Overanalyze wins Arkansas Derby, War Academy pulls up

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Overanalyze survived an objection by jockey Victory Lebron aboard runnerup Frac Daddy to win the $1 million Arkansas Derby on Saturday, while favored War Academy failed to finish the race.
The victory by the third choice in the field of 10 was worth 100 points in the new system to qualify for the Kentucky Derby and gave trainer Todd Pletcher a fourth horse in the May 4 race at Churchill Downs.
Ridden by Hall of Famer Mike Smith, War Academy started backing out of the contest on the backstretch. Shortly after the winner hit the finish line, Smith was walking beside the Bob Baffert-trained horse at the top of the stretch.
War Academy exited the racetrack on his own.
Smith said War Academy took "four or five really awkward steps.
"I didn't see anything major causing it, but I just felt really awkward on him and figured better safe than sorry."War Academy was the 9-5 favorite even though he was fourth the only time he faced stakes competition. Part of the support was because of Baffert, who has had an enormous amount of success in Oaklawn's series for 3-year-olds, including a smashing victory by Bodemeister in the 2012 Arkansas Derby.
