No Kentucky Oaks for Executiveprivilege By Brad Free ARCADIA, Calif. – The 2013 campaign of top 3-year-old filly Executiveprivilege continues to be postponed, and Sunday morning trainer Bob Baffert ruled out the first major objective of spring. “I don’t see her making the Kentucky Oaks,” Baffert said. “I’ve just been training her lightly, with her feet.” As a 2-year-old, Executiveprivilege won 5 of 7, including two Grade 1’s, but her winter campaign has not started due to quarter cracks. With only six weeks to the Kentucky Oaks, time has all but run out. Executiveprivilege has not started since December and has not worked since March 4. Baffert’s graded stakes-winning filly Fiftyshadesofhay also lost time due to quarter cracks. “I missed four or five days,” Baffert said. Despite the interruption, plans call for Fiftyshadesofhay to take on Beholder in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks on April 6. Fiftyshadesofhay finished second in the Las Virgenes on March 2, and has not worked since. Fiftyshadesofhay has won two of seven including the Grade 3 Santa Ysabel Stakes. www.drf.com/news/santa-anita-no-kentucky-oaks-executiveprivilege Photo: Anne M. Eberhard tExecutiveprivilege
