THIS is what happens when you run a horse into the ground to get the last ounce out of him before you retire him. the horse deserved better even if he was never more then slightly above average. but I guess we know where the real greed lies in racing now don't we? www.drf.com/news/bens-cat-11-succumbs-colic-complications

I guess king will know better next time.........oh wait, there wont be a next time. he'll probably be right alongside ben in a few weeks!!

the dumb and dumber comments keep on rolling
king may be old but he's at the barn in the early am and has had a very full active life - getting a high on tragedy and rooting for someone's death is perverted and just plain sick

hey idiot, do you know the difference between rooting for something and predicting it? of course you don't. I forgot. you aren't very smart.
I don't care if hes at the barn or at mortuary. either way, the horse is dead. OLD SCHOOL STYLE!!

This is not being a "bad boy"! This is simply nasty. If you wanted to hurt people, I don't think you succeeded. I was a big fan of Ben and your post didn't hurt me, but it did disappoint me.
I did some research on colic. Moving to a new environment with different grazing can be a cause. It had nothing to do with drugs.
I also met King and he was charming, nice and very down to earth,
Prediction? Well, saying someone in their 80's might die is not much of a "prediction". I'm in my 70's so go ahead and predict I might die. It could happen.
Anyone who knows Caitlin knows she's very smart. Find a better insult. You have a very bad habit of name calling which is quite childlike.
I'm sorry to say but the "idiot" (and unlike you, I don't resort to name calling) is you!

yeah I know, poor little Caitlin is perfect, right? I like you RG and I know this comes off looking bad and if it hurts you I'm sorry. but cait is a bitch and brings out the worst in me I admit. I don't give two shits about how it makes her feel. maybe if these posts weren't bombarded for years about an over rated and now washed up nag, I wouldn't be so quick to try to make the horse and trainer look bad. it makes me sick to see her pile on someone like bob who outside of one 17 month period in his career where he made some mistakes, hasn't been guilty of anything more then any other average trainer. yet a horse and trainer like this are made out to be godlike just because they run on a shit circuit against shit horses and win some restricted races. as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to cait, the gloves are off and I will say anything and everything to hurt her and make her feel bad. I don't like her and never will again. as far as colic goes, there are lots of things that can lead to it so for you to say drugs had nothing to do with it is more asinine then me saying they did. yes it could have been other things, but it also could have been. and intestinal problems ARE a big problem for horses who have been milkshaked RG. regardless of his age, it is still a prediction that really has little to do with age. what I meant was when someone dies who you love sometimes you die with them. when johnny cash's wife died, he died inside too. she took care of him for years and he died like 6 weeks after her. when my dad died, a piece of my mom died with him. she lived another 17 months but you could see a difference. she lost a lot of her fight. same thing with this horse. if king loved him like you and others claim he did you might see the same thing.

Ben was NEVER "milkshaked" - where dp get this BS?? There was a time I liked Bob.....but..he's consistently at the trop of drug violations lists - altho faces nm consequences because 1. cali has the most lax drug policies 2. cali tracks desperately need his entries 3. he has big $behind him and his horses have to win - no matter what the consequences to the horses - he sold his soul for bucks
the rest of your drivel is a bad attempt to excuse your nastiness
thanks rg - his meds and lack of fresh air have made him hopeless as far as I'm concered

do you sleep in the barn? how the F* do you know he was or wasn't? I'm saying its possible based on the intestinal problems. I'm not certain. its a theory. you know people besides just you are allowed to have opinions. yeah, blah blah blah! we have heard it a 1000 times why you do, did, or don't like bob. its a broken record. we all know you think trainers who are 2 for 160 are the best around. drivel? why because its true and you don't like it?

nope. I'm a little too smart for that. I bet 175 dollars on a race I had no interest in betting wise and collected over 1400 because unlike you, I know what I'm doing. you are more interested in trying to solve a riddle then you are in making the money that comes with solving the riddle. 95% of the people who saw the place and show bets still don't pull the trigger and do anything about it. they sit on their ass and talk about it but don't have the balls or the foresight to do anything about it. I bet 100 dollars in tris with 3 on top and then I bet 75 dollars in place and show bets on the other horses. and no milkshake needed. once again a perfect example of how horses aren't machines. is he the best horse in the country when on his game? of course he is. is he worth 1-9? hahaha.
maybe he did miss his shot. but at least he aint dead!!

If what you say is true, that was pretty smart betting, And you are right - I am more interested and get more satisfaction handicapping and trying to figure out who is the best horse in the race then making money off my picks. Thanks for the insight.

and that's why you shouldn't be betting. if that is the case, just buy the form everyday like you would a new York times crossword puzzle and then go donate 40 or 50 dollars a day to the OLD FRIENDS horse farm. by then end of the week you will be minus a couple hundred as always, some retired horses will get to live a better life, and you will have managed to pass the time of another boring week in your life. everyone will be happy

I do not lose $200 a week, I actually break even or win most of the time. I am just a recreational gambler as I stated before. Typically if I put up say $50 in my xpressbet account I will last for weeks or months before I bust, in fact usually I get that $50 up to hundreds of dollars and once up to $2000 just mostly betting exacta boxes. My problem is I can pick a ton of winners or 2nd place finishers but cannot keep a streak going in terms of $. I mean if you make a pick 4 or 5 something always comes in there in one race that you did not have or if you have the key horse in the exacta (1st or 2nd place finisher) something that you would never think of comes in there to beat you. Last week at Belmont out of nine races one of my first two choices won in seven races but I barely broke even and two were over 10-1 and others were nice prices but I was just betting exactas and pick 4's. I pick like that all the time but I do have some bad days where I am totally off but most of the time I can pick pretty good. But it seems like no matter how good I pick I can't make a lot of money off my bets. I guess I am just not a good gambler and money manager but I don't want to do too much experimenting and start betting $200 a race like you because I really don't want to lose money gambling when I am OK financially already, but it would be nice if I could make money on betting more in line with my skills at picking. I need just a little tutoring from someone who already has been there like you but I know you would not want to give any gambling tips to someone who would then be your competition.

I have a lot more money than you may think I have, and I did it the old fashion way - I earned it. lol. I have been working as a professional (P.E.) mechanical design engineer for the last 40 years and am about to retire. I have been playing the horses and reading the form for over 40 years now and have become a pretty good picker but never was really serious about making money off of the horses and did not want to ever get deep into gambling - just for fun. However, now looking for a way to supplement my retirement income but without much risk.

I don't care if you have 8 dollars or 8 million. I also find it idiotic and hypocritical you think you have worked harder to earn your money then I have. do you spend 12-16 hours a day either watching tapes, taking notes, making speed figures, and then attending the races and betting them to earn your paycheck every week, all without the guarantee of any income at all after all that work? no you don't because you are a drone who will always answer to someone else and never be rich because of it. you want to supplement your income without risk? good luck with that unless you want to go dig a ditch somewhere. and your net worth makes no difference as to whether or not you can afford my advice or tutelage. you've already said you don't want to take any risk or take it seriously.
