The trainer of trainers has one of his top charges running at Kentucky Downs tomorrow - Skyring - just after running last Saturday at the same track. Watch out for this horse as this is a most savvy trainer of trainers. Not only that he is running him back in an unprecedented short time but also at a short distance never before ran at 6 1/2F turf so he must have some kind of very good feeling making this most extraordinary tactical move. This guy is a genius so 8 to 1 on the morning line may be a gift. Just saying - something is up here. lol.

is he still trained by kevorkian? if so that explains why he is entered, and if you havent figured it out in the last 15 years then you never will. i have no idea who he is in against or what his recent form is but i will bet he finishes closer to last then first and there is a better chance he never races again or possibly breaks down then there is that he wins. watch and see and maybe you might learn something. ...............but of course you wont because you never do.

GOOD FOR SKYRING. HE GETS TO LIVE ANOTHER TWO DAYS. That's hilarious wiz! Well anyway I am picking him in my contest on the other site. This horse has been running against the absolute best turf horses - Tourist, Ironicus, Jack Milton, Chocolate Ride, etc.in the lead or just off the pace. He still has a lot of run in him and I will take a shot that he can win maybe or maybe not but I think it better to take a shot on him at some nice odds.

OOH BOY. THE OTHER SITE!!
YOU CALL THOSE THE BEST TURF HORSES? JACK MILTON AND CHOCOLATE RIDE? ARE YOU SERIOUS? HAVENT ALL OF IRONICUS'S BIG WINS COME STRICTLY IN NEW YORK? JUST ASKING...............
HOW OLD IS THIS HORSE NOW? 7? THIS IS NOTHING MORE THEN AN ACT OF DESPERATION BY A TRAINER WHO HAS NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH THIS HORSE. IF HE WANTED TO SPRINT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN DOING IT BEFORE AGE 7 OR WHATEVER HE IS. ITS LIKE READDING BLINKERS TO A HORSE WHO USED THEM YEARS EARLIER AND HAS NOW HAD 30 OR 40 MORE STARTS WITHOUT THEM. PURE DESPERATION. I WILL NEVER BASH ANYONE FOR TAKING A SHOT ON VALUE ON A HORSE, BUT 8/1 IS NOT VALUE ON THIS HORSE. THAT PRICE ISNT HIGH ENOUGH. IF HE WERE 20 OR 30 TO ONE THEN I MIGHT SAY GO FOR IT.

I know it does seem like a strange move to run now at 6 1/2F after all this time and the question is why not before. I think you are right he is just trying something different because he looks like he cannot run with the best at a distance anymore. So I think I will just take a little shot that he might wake up at 6 1/2 but knowing also that typically those type of moves don't work out. There is not that much in the race to beat anyway that has been running against as good horses. Ironicus is a real good horse and many many horses who came out of his races went on to win very big races, as well as the other horses I mentioned are all in the top 20 at least turf horses in the country I think, if not the top 10.

lukas had a sudden moment of clarity and realized in his alzheimers state the he had entered the horse in a sprint so he scratched him. he may show up next week in a one mile pace at yonkers though.

Both of you - That is cold! He was just trying a new angle with the horse. If you were not so biased you may see that there may be a method to his madness. Afterall the horse is owned by the great Calumet Farms. Do you think they would let him do something stupid like BB did with AP. loloolooloololol.

and if you werent in love with this horse baecuase you nade the only score of your life on him 3 years ago you would realize he is done, and even if he werent, is misentered in this spot. this has nothing to do with bias other then on your part. you are dreaming of and looking for angles that dont exist just to give yourself an excuse to like him. something you do all the time.

That is absolutely correct wiz - I am proud of you for nailing that. Yes I have a soft spot for Skyring as I followed him from before he even won a big race when he was in the lead by 10 in one race and faded and when I saw that I knew he was something special. Then followed him and kept on playing him with mostly nice odds and then the big hit in the pick 5 Preakness. I am therefore a little loyal to him. And yes my greatest fault in handicapping is going with a horse just because of emotional reasons when I normally would know that it is a sucker play. Handicapping is just as much about a struggle to be objective and non-biased as it is about knowing what to look for in a race horse. lol.

trainers these days don't run much - yeah - lukas maybe overdoes it but if the horse is ok and ready to go, why not?
as to stewards, LT had the best idea - a group elsewhere overseeing and making the call so hometown favoritism is out - like in other sports

To be aware of your faults is the way to correct them. However just by acknowledging your weakness does not instantly correct the problem but there is a gradual process that takes place over a period of time that little by little naturally self-corrects the problem if you are sincere in wanting to change for the better. I am sure you know what I mean to some extent because you appear to be the type of person who never looks himself in the mirror so you never change for the better gradually or at all. lol.
