Today marks the 14th day without a card being run at Parx.

Lt1, I was thinking of asking the same thing, but figured it would be jumped on.
My big curiosity is Tuesday - Parx is the ONLY flat track in North America scheduled to run. Will they? Only time will tell.

Chackiee says track is getting worst and I believe rain is in the forecast so most likely they won't run.

Has Parx considered a winter track similar to Aqueduct's - or heaven forbid - synthetic?

In fairness Aqu hasn't had a fast track either this week and we haven't had a bad day since Tuesday.

Hey KK if the track is ok why are the jocks refusing to ride. IT REALLY A MAJORITY TYPE THING. CERTAIN GUYS LIKE ELLIOT, HAMP,PENNIGTON AND BISONO DONT LIKE OFF TRACKS SO IF THEY DONT WANT TO RIDE THE REST KIND OF FOLLOW,THEY ARE PUTTING THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE SO THEY MAKE THE CALL

AN ALL WEATHER TRACK AT PARX WOULD BE USELESS, PARX RUNS YEAR ROUND, THE CURRENT DIRT TRACK IS JUST FINE, I DONT SEE WHY THEY WOULD PUT IN AN ALL WEATHER JUST FOR WINTER BESIDE PA ALREADY HAS AN ALL WEATHER TRACK PID, NO NEED TO DRAW HORSES FROM THEM

I still say that they (Parx) and Aqueduct do what Charles Town does each year - the close down for a few days in late October to convert to a winterized surface, then in March or April close again to change back to the normal surface.

I just finished looking through the entire PARX section and I find it quite ironic, no one except Lt1 ever posted about this Track. But now it's not racing and we are getting daily updates. I'm wondering if AQU closes down for bad weather for three days will we be getting the same scrutiny??

How can there be DAILY updates about Parx when they're only scheduled to race four days a week?

I have a friend with the Metka racing stables and he said that PARX is just playing games, along with the Jocks... A real mess.... Pres NOBODY IS PLAYING GAMES. THE TARCK HAS NO GRIP TO IT, ITS EASY FOR THE DEGENERATES TO SIT BACK AND SAY RIDE BECAUSE THEIR LIVES ARE NOT ON THE LINE, THE TRACK NEEDS TO DRY OUT, I WAS THERE TTHIS AM TO SEE A FEW HORSES WORK AND THE TRACK IS NOT READY. THATS IT BOTTOM LINE. I KNOW THE GAMBLERS DONT LIKE TO HEAR THAT BUT HEY OH WELL, GET OVER IT

KK: Yet they are training in the AM, something is rotten in Denmark.... Pres TRAINING IS VOLUNTARY, DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY JOCKS SHOW UP TO RIDE WORK ? LESS THAN 10. THE FACT THAT PEOPLE ARE GETTING BENT OUT OF SHAPE OVER A B LEVEL TRACK NOT RUNNING IS AMUSING TO ME. I DONT KNOW IF IT SPEAKS TO THE LACK OF LIFE PEOPLE HAVE OR THE GAMBLING PROBLEMS IN THIS COUNTRY. BUT ETHER WAY IT IS SAD. PEOPLE SHOULD BE SPENDING TIME WITH THEIR FAMILY INSTEAD OF CRYING ABOUT A TRACK NOT RUNNING.

Hey KK 15 days without racing is way too long for any track not to run. Maybe they need a new track super. As for being a b level track it is also a track to make a good profit at. I've been playing it for yrs and have made a pretty penny there so it does hurt when it doesn't run. As for training there should have been none going on until they got the track under control because safety is paramount whether the riders chose to work horses in the morning or not
