so true chall. if its not about obsolete, its not worth reading, right? ;D I know some people liked this horse at the defunct board and he is back out of retirement and in familiar hands. I'm guessing not that many people look at CRC so I thought I would post the info.

The goal for him is the sprint stake on Summit of Speed day next month. This is a salty bunch in today's field. If anyone can get Jackson Bend's mind back in the right place it's this barn Interesting works for him.....not the usual pattern for this barn.

Why is everyone so touchy? Wasn't meaning to put Chall down. The horse is nothing but an overrated annoyance for the Eliteone. I am amazed at all the money he's eaten over the years and just surprised anyone cares about him anymore...He was never more than a Grade III type.

i like him because he's a little guy with a big heart - he always tries - not easy to find in horses - if you're lucky, java will prove to have 1/2 the heart JB does lol
didn't think you were putting down anyone -

Interesting to see what happens from here. That work pattern was "different" and he was much closer to the pace than usual. He's a one-run closer.

If Java did not have heart he would have chucked it in the Bluegrass instead of having a Forego like win. Whiz won't admit but the reason he liked Palace Malace in the first place before switching to Golden Soul was because he was right there with Java. And that was the proper way of thinking too. Palace Malice's win elevates the horseflesh rating of Java'a War who is STILL Numero Uno of this crop! Jackson Bend and these reports are still SNORE for Elite...he might have heart but never had much else. Why care now. Isn't he like 10 years old?

if Jackson bend is snore, why are you posting on a Jackson bend thread? oh wait, I know. more self promotion. elite javas win over palace was simply one thing..... an aberration. like ships passing in the night, heading in different directions. java ran the race of his life over flubberafter a perfect set up trip pace wise, after his usual slow break. something that does and will continue to happen his whole career. that's part of the game with him. its what you get. just like betting on gate dancer back in the day and expecting him to run straight and get a clean trip. 85% of the time, its not gonna happen. java peaked right then and there unfortunately, getting up to nostrilize by a slim margin. since then palace has matured into the push button horse that he is and is now the horse I thought he was in april. java has gone to visit dr. phil 3x a week since then. if java ever shows up again, and that s big if, it will be in an overnight stk. or allowance race somewhere on a flubber track or turf course. it will probably take him 4 or 5 more starts to get past his next condition, and he will end up floundering somewhere like turfway park, maybe someday getting black type again in some sort of ungraded stk. named after the editor of the cincinatti enquirer!

Why is Elite posting on a JB thread? Because my biggest fan was cracking wise about Java's War, that's why. Man you got a bad case of hate with JW. That's a no no in Quantums. We can't like or hate. How do you handicap with such biases? Self promotion? Not even if the Eliteone needed promotion would he bother. We let Quantums do our talking and we are quite secure with our standing in the racing world. TOP handicapper in THESE United States!. Promote Dat!

You have to wonder about someone who goes into a thead about Jackson Bend and tries to make the thread about himself.

well now - everyone has awakened in just charming fashion on the sunday after the belmont lol e1 - jackson bend is now 6 - his record is 29 - 9 - 6 - 4 earnings 1.5M which works out to approx 55K per start - not too shabby and hardly an "overrated annoyance" (altho' that might be an appropriate term for Java but i can't say that because my pile of erasers to clean is already up to the ceiling ) so many bitch and moan that today's horses retire far too young and can't develop fans - well - here's one that's running at 6 and does have a following - that's a good thing - and dissing a horse's "heart" is just wrong - but ya know that he didn't run well yesterday but it may have been a nice tuner upper for the goal chall mentioned - he looked pretty good - certainly not like richard's kid who's on who knows how much substance support to keep him running for greedy owners - little JB was retired to the farm where he grew up - people that know him - and he showed them he's not ready to retire - they are to be commended for giving him another shot at doing what he obviously loves to do it's fine your opinion is he's a "yawn" - i disagree - i think he's an interesting story to follow - neither of us is wrong or right

He was brought along slowly as a 2yo. He wasn't a "too fast too soon" horse. How many times has he failed to bring home a check? He's a hard horse to get to relax early, thus one turn sprinting is best for him. It forces him to drop back and attempt one run. We will see what happens from this point forward.
